What’s been happening:

Since leaving PSU in 1973, I have used my Comp Sci degree as a Systems Analyst with GE Missile and Space Division in Valley Forge, PA; Kodak Production Planning Division in Rochester, NY; and Johnson & Johnson in S. Paulo, Brazil. I married my PSU sweetheart, Bob Mangels (PSU 73 BS Mech Eng) in August, 1974 and moved with him to his home town of S. Paulo, Brazil in 1978 where I have lived ever since. This year we will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. After our two children started pre-school, I went to Panama to be trained as a Personal Image Consultant and brought Color Me Beautiful to S. Paulo in 1985. I eventually gave up personal consultations to specialize in Corporate Image seminars, and had many prestigious multi-national companies on my client list, lecturing in Brazil's Portuguese. Local economic circumstances caused me to close my consulting business in the early 1990's, and soon after I began training through my garden club to be a National Garden Club Flower Show judge. I have achieved the status of NGC Accredited Master Judge, represent Brazil on the NGC Board of Directors in the United States, receive invitations to judge flower shows abroad, and organize courses to train NGC international affiliate judges here in Brazil. To do my NGC jobs effectively, I have learned Spanish. I also devote time to the Shareholder Council of my husband's family business
